Varsity Girls Tennis Closes Out Regular Season with Win
The varsity girls tennis team played their last game of the regular season on 4/10/24 at Sebastian River High School in Sebastian. The Pirates swept the Sharks on the court to finish their matches 7-0.
Winning singles matches for the girls team were #1 Sofia Corominas de Wit (8-3), #2 Alex Shackelton (8-3), #3 Emmery Clarkson (8-0), #4 Jenessa Kendall (8-3), and #5 Chandler Higdon (8-3).
The #1 doubles team of Chandler Higdon and Mia Maldonado put away their opponents with their 8-1 victory. Securing the clean sweep for the Pirates was the team of Kendall/Dhanika Perez (9-7) with their #2 doubles win.
Winning her exhibition singles match for the girls team was Charlotte Peponis (8-2).
