Excellent Coaching / Saint Edward’s coaches are dedicated educators, passionate about their sports and about bringing out the best in their athletes. Most were themselves accomplished collegiate and competitive athletes.

Competitive Schedules
Saint Edward’s 38 interscholastic teams face rivals from other Florida independent and private schools, including some of the region’s strongest programs.
The middle school girls lacrosse team played their last game of the season on 4/1/26 in North Palm Beach at Benjamin Middle School. The dedicated Pirates fought hard on the field against the Buccaneers until the very end, but fell to their opponents 1-8.
Marley Bischoff scored the lone goal for the Pirates. Peyton Bittle played an amazing game in the goal.
The varsity track and field team delivered an outstanding performance at the Fort Pierce Central Freshman/Sophomore meet on 4/1/26 at Lawnwood Stadium in Fort Pierce. The girls team captured the 1st place overall team title with an overwhelming 174 points while the boys team secured a strong 6th place finish against a deep field.
In girls track events, Stephanie Storts won the 800m race with 2:38.68. Sophie Cooper secured a gold medal finish in the 1600m with a new personal best time of 5:53.45, followed closely in 2nd place by Jacquelyn Perrin at 5:58.87. Nahlia Hebig finished 5th in the 1600m with 6:12.67. Winning the 3200m was Cooper with 13:27.57. Also placing in the 3200m were teammates Emma Ramsay in 4th at 14:03.39, a personal record, and Baylin Bischoff in 5th with a personal best time of 14:05.25. In the 400 Hurdles, Amajyn Cannon won the gold with 1:17.86 and set a new personal record, followed closely by Cadence Callaghan, who received silver with her time of 1:18.22. Cannon secured a 4th place finish in 100 Hurdles with 19.87, and Savannah Shambo finished 6th with 20.25. In relay events, the 4x400 Relay team of N. Hebig, Callaghan, Storts, and J. Perrin placed 2nd with 4:35.80. The 4x800 Relay team of Jaiya Hebig, Niah Boulding, J. Perrin, and Callaghan finished in 3rd at 11:50.91. The 4x100 Relay team of Cannon, Kayla Jeune, Shambo, and Rosi Neumann placed 6th with 57.24. In field events, Mia Perez received the gold in Discus with her 26.35m throw, followed closely in 2nd place by teammate Stella Morris with 22.17m. Also placing in Discus was Jeune in 5th with 18.55m. Perez won the Shot Put with her personal best 8.99m throw, and Morris finished in 4th place with her 7.01m mark. Winning her third field event of the day, Perez placed 1st in Javelin with a 21.34m throw, followed again by Morris in 2nd place with 20.36m. Also placing 7th in the Javelin event was Elexia Watson with her 13.84m mark. Cannon received the silver medal for her 2nd place finish in the High Jump at 1.22m. In the Triple Jump, Jeune secured a 3rd place finish with 9.57m and set a new school record for the event, Shambo finished in 5th with 9.15m, and Morris placed 8th at 7.86m. Placing 4th in the Long Jump was N. Hebig at 4.16m.
In boys track events, Chris Perrin won the silver medal in the 3200m with his time of 11:28.60 and placed 8th in the 800m with 2:23.65, a new personal best. Reef Blackman received silver in the 400 Hurdles with 1:06.55 and placed 3rd for his time of 20.20 in the 110 Hurdles. Cam Perrin finished in 5th place in the 1600m with a personal record time of 5:09.47. In relay events, the 4x800 Relay team of Ian Wallace, Finn Ensio, Ca. Perrin, and Ch. Perrin placed 3rd with 10:30.30. The 4x400 Relay team of Wallace, Ca. Perrin, Blackman, and Ensio finished 5th at 4:28.06, and the 4x100 Relay team of Trip Williams, Ethan Gatzke, Ch. Perrin, and Rome Barker placed 6th with 52.92. In field events, Blackman finished 6th in Javelin with his 23.71m throw.
The varsity baseball team hit the road for Fred Poppe Regional Park in Palm Bay to face off against Calvary Chapel Academy. The Pirates opened the scoring in the top of the 1st inning thanks to 2 sacrifice flies. Caden Freedman hit the first sacrifice fly, scoring 1 run and putting the Pirates on the board. The Pirate team added to their early lead in the top of the 2nd inning when Trey Dunlap hit a sacrifice fly, scoring 1 run, and Graham Hutton doubled, scoring 1 run. Saint Edward's added 1 run in the 3rd with Braylon Kirkland's single to center field, making the score 7-0. Continuing the trend through the end of the game, the Pirates easily dispatched the Eagles on the field, 12-0.
On the mound, Dunlap earned the win for the Pirates. The pitcher gave up 0 hits and 0 runs over 4 innings, striking out 7 and walking 1. Hutton tossed 1 inning of no-run ball for the Pirate team in relief. The pitcher gave up 1 hit, striking out 3 and walking 1.
The Pirates amassed 11 hits in the game. Hutton, Nolan Ange, Colton Freedman, Jack Torresson, and Kirkland each collected 2 hits for Saint Edward's. Ca. Freedman and Kirkland each drove in 2 runs, and Ange stole 2 bases.
Varsity girls lacrosse played their Senior Night game on 3/31/26 in Pirate Stadium against Martin County High School. The Pirates tamed the Tigers on the field, winning 17-5.
Caitlin Moscrip led the charge on the field for the Pirate team, bringing in 3 goals and 1 assist. With her 129th goal scored, Moscrip now holds the record for All-Time Career Goals for Saint Edward's School girls lacrosse. Aerin Russell provided 2 goals and 3 assists, CJ Fykes grabbed 2 goals and 2 assists, and Kelly Lynch netted 2 goals in the Pirate victory. Also recording 1 goal apiece for the Pirate team were Cami Colontrelle, Leah Chin, Lily Chin, Lily O'Brien, Madeline Richards, Madison DeCosta, Nicollette Kennedy, and Isla Dyer. Goalie Abbey Carter recorded 3 saves.
The varsity boys lacrosse team hosted Jensen Beach High School on the Michael J. Mersky Field on 3/31/26. The Pirates were up 6-3 by halftime and never backed down, putting away the Falcons 15-5.
Having an outstanding game on the field, Chris Campbell brought in 5 goals and 1 assist for the Pirates, and Connor O'Brien netted 4 goals and 2 assists. Turner Barnett recorded 2 goals and 2 assists in the victory, and Charlie Corrigan contributed 2 goals and 1 assist. Brady McCoy put forth 1 goal and 2 assists, and Jackson Parker added 1 goal. The Pirates dominated in faceoff wins with Matthew Vatland collecting 9, Parker recording 8, and Bobby Varricchio tallying 3. At the goal, Edwin Provancher made 4 saves on 9 shots on goal.
Additional gameday stats for the PIrates include 37 shots on goal and 23 ground balls.
Varsity girls tennis hit the road for Hobe Sound Tennis Center in Hobe Sound on 3/31/26 to play matches against The Pine School. The Pirates took charge against the Knights, declaring a 7-0 victory on the courts.
Winning singles matches for the Pirates were #1 Emmery Clarkson (8-0), #2 Chandler Higdon (8-3), #3 Mia Maldonado (8-2), #4 Jenessa Kendall (8-0), and #5 Elle Prezzano (8-1).
The team of Clarkson/Higdon won their #1 doubles match 8-1. Ensuring the triumph on the court was the #2 doubles team of Maldonado/Kendall (8-2).
On 3/31/26, the varsity boys tennis team headed to Hobe Sound Tennis Center in Hobe Sound to take on The Pine School. In a clean sweep, the Pirates overcame the Knights 7-0 on the courts.
Winning singles matches for the Pirates were #1 Jose Robledo Pretelt (8-1), #2 Nick Weise (8-2), #3 James Peponis (8-3), #4 Christian Peter (8-4), and #5 Diego Leal (8-0).
The #1 boys doubles team of Robledo Pretelt/Peponis recorded an 8-2 victory. Winning their #2 doubles match and completing the perfect day was the team of Weise and Mikey Ladd (8-2).

A love of activity starts with the Physical Education program, which begins in our Little Pirates (PreK-3) programs. Students then progress to middle school team sports and eventually varsity-level competition in the Upper School.
