JV Volleyball Subdues Cougars

On 9/16/24, the junior varsity volleyball team hosted Merritt Island Christian School in the Gonzalez-Lobo Activities Center. The thrilling first set saw a back-and-forth battle between the Pirates and the Cougars, with the Pirates emerging as the victor at 25-23. The Pirates buckled down in the second set and never looked back as they sailed past the Cougars 25-14 to claim the victory.

Piper McCollom, who did an excellent job communicating with her hitters throughout the game, recorded 15 assists, 1 ace, and 1 dig for the Pirate team. Lily O'Brien tallied 5 kills, 3 aces, and 1 dig; and teammate Joselyn Martin contributed 5 kills and 4 aces. Halle Grella netted 2 kills and 5 aces, and Ashley Dube amassed 2 kills, 1 ace, and 1 dig. Jenessa Kendall added 1 kill toward the successful night for the Pirates.
 
Next game is at home on 9/16/24 versus John Carroll Catholic High School, starting at 5:00 PM in the Gonzalez-Lobo Activities Center.
