Varsity Volleyball Overwhelms Patriots
On 8/28/24, the varsity volleyball team traveled to Palm Bay to play against Pineapple Cove Classical Academy. The Pirates came in hot on the court, winning in straight sets: 25-13, 25-11, 25-21.
Paving the way for the Pirates' victory were Makena Rodriguez, who led the team in kills with 15 and also provided 3 aces and 15 digs; Grace Clemente, who led the team in digs with 17 and also tallied 5 kills and 1 ace; and Margaret Fykes, who led the team in assists with 18 and also contributed 1 kill, 2 aces, and 7 digs. Natalee Rogers had a strong showing with 4 assists, 3 aces, and 15 digs, and Nevin Waddell recorded 2 kills and 4 digs. Grace Fykes netted 3 aces and 2 digs, and teammate Sommer Soderman added 5 digs toward the win.
