Varsity Girls Basketball Seizes Game from Buccaneers
On 1/15/25, the varsity girls basketball team traveled to The Benjamin School in North Palm Beach to take on the Buccaneers. The Pirates remained competitive on the court throughout the thrilling 1st half, leading 24-21 at halftime. The Pirates maintained their lead in the 3rd quarter and successfully pulled ahead in the 4th quarter to claim victory against the Buccaneers 43-35.
Leading the scoreboard for the Pirate team was Avonti Jennings with 21 points. Amajyn Cannon grabbed 8 points for the Pirates, and teammates Gaby Collazo and Anastasia Headley tallied 5 points apiece. Sommer Soderman and Shaniya Bryant rounded out the successful day for the team, recording 2 points each.
