Intrasquad Scrimmage Provides Great Fun for MS Volleyball Teams
The middle school girls volleyball Silver and Navy teams competed in a friendly intrasquad scrimmage on 10/1/24 in the Wachter Activities Center. Both teams were excited to take to the court to show off their playing skills in the lively matchup. The Silver team emerged victorious over the Navy team, winning in 2 close sets: 25-12 and 25-22.
Stella Morris and Alaina Pena-Ariet led the charge for the Silver team with strong serving and several aces. A strong defensive effort was made by teammates Anabella Botero, Lucy Lynch, and Gradie Parker. Morris and Tessa Jacquelin contributed many great sets for Silver team hitters Reagan Weaver and Linley Davis-Curley to help ensure the victory.
For the Navy team's debut on their home court, captain Nevaeh Williams and Maui Henriquez led the serving effort alongside great defensive saves from captain Illyana Durkin and Sienna Kirkland. Strong passing and defense from Aiva Juste, Brielle Corr, and Elise Brown contributed to Navy's effort and to the very close and competitive second set.
