As we approach the end of the first half of the school year, we are reminded of the tremendous impact that you, members of the Saint Edward’s School community, have on our mission.
These past few years since the pandemic have seen growth, resilience and progress. We have added a designated Academic Learning Lab in the Lower School and have added additional staff to the middle and upper school lab. We have improved our testing process in both the Lower and Middle Schools to provide greater feedback and opportunities for data analysis that give us the ability to zero in on our students’ strengths and where there is a need for further support. We have completed another successful accreditation process by the Florida Council of Independent Schools. We have renovated our weight room and are on the brink of opening our beautiful new pool. We have enhanced the curriculum to support a more seamless transition between grades and divisions. We have a fabulous new pontoon boat that enhances our marine science program, and we have recently received funding to build an outdoor classroom on our fresh water pond and beautify the waterfront area that we are so fortunate to have on our campus. The Board of Trustees is currently working with us on a new campus master plan, and we look forward to its completion by the early fall. I am proud of our accomplishments and thank every member of the Saint Edward’s team and the community at large for their contributions, and I am confident that we can reach even greater heights in the months and years ahead.
As we look forward to 2025, we are setting ambitious goals that support a culture of constant improvement. However, achieving these goals requires sustained support from dedicated individuals like many of you in our community. As the calendar year draws to a close, I am asking for your help through a year-end gift to our Saint Edward’s Fund. Whether it’s a contribution of $50, $100, $500 or $5,000, your support will make a meaningful difference.
We understand that the end of the year is a busy time, but we hope you will take a moment and consider making a gift to ensure our success in the second half of the school year.
On behalf of all of us here at the School, we wish you a joyful and peaceful holiday season, and we look forward to continuing this important work together in 2025.
