The varsity football team traveled to Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School on 9/20/24 to take on the Minutemen. The Pirates came tearing into Friday's matchup with 4 straight wins: a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points. The Pirates came out on top in the nail-biter, sneaking past the Minutemen for a 23-21 victory.
On the offense for the Pirate team, Jaden Jackson was nothing short of spectacular, picking up 93 receiving yards and rushing for 87 yards on only 10 carries. The Pirates also relied on kicker Marlon Dato Slattery to seal the victory, with his 50-yard boot giving the Pirates their thrilling game-changing goal. Quarterback Nate Sparkman threw for 269 yards and 2 touchdowns, with 1 to Gary Anderson and 1 to Nicky Colontrelle. Ethan Ball also had a big night for the Pirates, leading the defense with 17 total tackles and 1 rushing touchdown.
