Varsity Girls Lifters Compete in Last Meet of Regular Season
The varsity girls weightlifting team traveled on 1/14/25 to Frostproof High School in Frostproof for their last meet of the regular season. All 3 of the Pirates that competed made instrumental gains in the competition.
Sophomore Genevieve Medalie placed 2nd in her weight class in Olympic with 65/90*/155 and 3rd in Traditional with 90*/75/165*.
In her division, sophomore Issie Evans went 6for6 in the Olympic category (55/75*/130*) to place 3rd and lifted 75*/70/145* in the Traditional category to finish in 3rd.
Sophomore Jaida Jackson went 6for6 in both events, lifting 115*/90*/205* in her division to place 3rd in Olympic and 115*/130*/245* for Traditional to also place 3rd.
