JV Boys Basketball Opens Season on the Road
The junior varsity boys basketball team traveled to Sebastian on 11/18/24 to compete in their first game of the season against Sebastian River High School. The Pirates fought hard on the court but ultimately fell to the Sharks 49-64.
Syrus Cooper led the scoring for the Pirates with 15 points and put forth 6 steals and 5 rebounds on the floor. Sinking 10 points each for the Pirate team, Bobby Varricchio recorded 4 steals, 1 rebound, and 1 block; and Mac Antle contributed 2 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block. Trey Dunlap, who netted 9 points, added 5 steals, 4 rebounds, and a blocked shot. Reid Morris was competitive on the court with 5 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal, and 2 blocks. David Vazquez had 4 rebounds, and Braxton Adams saw 1 steal for the Pirates.
