Varsity Cross Country Runners End Regular Season Strong
The varsity cross country team competed in the Sebastian River Invite on 10/19/24 at Sebastian River High School as part of their last race for the regular season. The girls team finished 4th overall out of 13 teams, and the boys team finished 10th overall out of 14 teams.
For the girls team, Jacquelyn Perrin placed 7th overall individually and set a new personal record of 22:17.20. Stephanie Storts finished 19th place with a personal best of 23:20.40, followed closely in 20th place by teammate Sophie Cooper with her personal record of 23:28.70. Cadence Callaghan placed 30th at 24:58.00, and Emma Ramsay finished 47th with a personal record 26:42.10. Senior Sienna Mallon ended her 7 year cross country career with the Pirates by setting a season-best time of 30:16.90 and placing 79th.
For the boys team, Jack Curley paced the Pirates with his 8th place finish time of 18:14.20. Spencer Taft set a personal record with his 46th place finish time of 20:37.30, and teammate Chris Campbell also set a personal record with his time of 20:52.40 to place 55th. Aiden Bryant finished 72nd with 21.49.60, Chris Perrin finished 73rd with his personal best of 21:58.30, and Cam Perrin finished 75th with a personal record of 22:14.90.
Next meet is the Class 1A District 7 Tournament on 10/29/24, starting at 3:00 PM at South Country Regional Park in Boca Raton.
