Varsity Boys Basketball Stuns Jupiter Christian in Rematch

The varsity boys basketball team faced off against the Jupiter Christian Eagles for a rematch at home on 12/10/24 in the Gonzalez-Lobo Activities Center. Despite earlier trailing the Eagles, the Pirates worked together and pushed forward on the court to overcome their opponents 56-52.

Cody Simmonds led the Pirates on the scoreboard with 16 points and nabbed 4 assists, 3 steals, 1 rebound, and 1 block. Jayzere Cannon, who led the team in free throws by going 4 for 4, sank 10 points along with 2 assists and 1 steal, and Wyatt Burdick put up 9 points for the team and recorded 2 rebounds and 1 block. Daniel Clemente recorded 6 points, 2 assists, 2 rebounds, and 1 steal toward the victory. Leading the team in 3-pointers with 3 each, Carson Yates, who recorded 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block, and Cole Register, who also collected 2 rebounds and 1 steal, netted 5 points apiece for the Pirates, with Yates making 2 vital free throws for the team in the 4th quarter. Leading the team in rebounds and blocks with 8 each, Gary Anderson contributed 3 points, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Rushil Sura provided 2 points, 1 rebound, and 1 assist, and Kaleb Jones added 1 steal for the Pirate team.
