Varsity Boys Basketball Narrowly Falls to Greyhounds in Rematch
The varsity boys basketball team faced off against Lincoln Park Academy in a rematch at home on 12/13/24 in the Gonzalez-Lobo Activities Center. The Pirates remained determined on the court through the end but narrowly fell to the Greyhounds 59-62.
Gary Anderson led the Pirates into battle, collecting 17 points, 15 rebounds 2 assists, 4 steals, and 10 blocks. Cody Simmonds netted 11 points for the team, including 7 free throws, and racked up 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Rushil Sura sank 9 points alongside 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal. Jayzere Cannon recorded 8 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals, and Daniel Clemente grabbed 7 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 block. Wyatt Burdick contributed 5 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 1 block. Cole Register put up forth 2 points, 1 assist, and 2 steals for the Pirates, and Carson Yates added 4 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal.
