Curley Moves on to 1A State Championship for Varsity Boys Cross Country

The varsity boys and girls cross country teams returned to South County Regional Park in Boca Raton to compete in the Class 1A Region 4 Tournament on 11/8/24. The girls team just missed the qualifiers for States, finishing 9th place overall, and the boys team finished the race 11th place overall. Sophomore Jack Curley qualified individually for the 1A State Championship, setting a personal record of 17:43.0 and finishing in 19th place.

Adding to the overall score for the boys team were Spencer Taft in 65th place (20:11.9), Aiden Braynt in 72nd place (20:23.9), Jamin Dunham in 74th place (20:29.1), and Chris Campbell in 77th (20:47.0). Chris Perrin tied his personal record of 21:23.6 to finish 87th.

Narrowly missing a qualifying individual spot for States for the girls team, Jacquelyn Perrin finished 16th place at 22:22.6, and Stephanie Storts finished 18th with a new personal record of 22:24.7. Contributing to the teams overall score were Isabella Peter in 56th place with 25:35.7, Cadence Callaghan in 78th with 28:34.8, and Emma Ramsay in 101st with 35.15.2.
 
Next meet is the Class 1A State Championship on 11/16/24 at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, starting at 9:50 AM.
