Varsity Girls Weightlifting Takes Part in Tri-Meet at John Carroll

The varsity girls weightlifting team competed in a tri-meet at John Carroll Catholic High School in Fort Pierce on 12/5/24. In the Olympic category, King's Academy scored 40, John Carroll scored 39, and Saint Edward's scored 7. In the traditional category, John Carroll scored 43, King's Academy scored 34, and Saint Edward's scored 6.

In her division, sophomore Jaida Jackson claimed 1st place in both the Olympic and Traditional categories, going 6for6 in both divisions. She lifted 60/100/160 for the Olympic and 100/115/215 for Traditional.

Sophomore Valentina Henriquez placed 3rd in her weight class in the Olympic category with 50/65/115. She went 6for6 in the Traditional category, to receive 4th place for her lifts of 65/60/125.

In her division, sophomore Issie Evans went 6for6 in both the Olympic category (50/65/115) and the Traditional category (65/70/135). 

Eighth-grader Katie Padgett also went 6for6 in her weight class in both Olympic (35/40/75) and Traditional (40/55/95).
 
Next meet is away on 12/11/24 at Vero Beach High School in Vero Beach, starting at 4:30 PM.
