Varsity Boys Basketball Heading to District Finals
The varsity boys basketball team competed in the Class 1A District Semifinals on 2/5/25 at Morningside Academy in Port St. Lucie. The determined Pirates overcame the Eagles on the floor, securing the 57-39 victory and moving on the the District Finals.
Wyatt Burdick came out hot on the floor for the Pirate team, collecting 20 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block. Cody Simmonds followed closely with 18 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Gary Anderson led the team in rebounds with 17, assists with 4, steals with 4, and blocks with 8 while also nabbing 6 points. Daniel Clemente recorded 8 points and 1 rebound, and Cole Register grabbed 5 points, 1 rebound, 1 steal, and 2 blocks. Kaleb Jones collected 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 1 block, and Carson Yates added 2 rebounds and 1 assist for the Pirates.
