Varsity Baseball Clinches on the Road Rematch Against Firehawks

On 2/27/25, the varsity baseball team traveled to USSSA Sports Complex in Melbourne to take on the Brevard HEAT in a rematch. The Pirates shut down the Firehawks on the field, leaving their opponents scoreless while seeing their own runs batted in in the 1st, 4th, and 5th innings. The Pirates proved the ultimate winners, bringing home the 3-0 victory.

At the mound, Caden Freedman pitched 4 innings, with 7 batters struck out. Reid Morris pitched for 3 innings with 5 strikeouts. In fielding stats for the Pirates, catcher Cyprian McIntosh recorded 11 putouts and 1 assist. Freedman saw 5 putouts, and Trey Dunlap tallied 2 putouts. Teammates Graham Hutton, Brayden Schraw, and Cooper Harp each collected 1 putout.

At bat for the Pirates, R. Morris recorded 1 run, 2 hits, 1 RBI, a triple, and 1 stolen base; and Jaden Jackson saw 1 hit, 1 RBI, and a triple. Nolan Ange had 1 hit and 1 run for the Pirate team, and Freedman recorded 1 run and a stolen base. Schraw collected an RBI and a stolen base, and Will Morris also stole a base for the Pirates.
 
Next game is away on 3/3/25 versus Lincoln Park Academy, starting at 4:00 PM at Lawnwood Stadium in Fort Pierce.
