Saint Edward’s School is proud to announce the induction of Maddy Blakeman, class of 2012, into the Athletic Hall of Fame. Maddy was a multisport athlete for the Pirates, competing on the volleyball, basketball, girls weightlifting, and lacrosse teams. While she excelled at all sports, lacrosse remains Maddy’s first love. A three-time US Lacrosse High School All-American, this athlete shattered the school’s scoring record three years in a row. She co-captained her teams both as a junior and a senior and earned First Team All-District and First Team All-League all four years. Maddy was honored with the Rosemary Hinton Award, which is given to the senior female athlete who embodies Rosemary’s passion for sports, competition and participation.
Maddy took her lacrosse career to the next level, playing division one lacrosse at Loyola University in Maryland. A four-year letter winner for the Greyhounds, Maddy helped her team win the Patriot League Championship three times and make it to the Division 1 NCAA Tournament all four years. As a senior, Maddy was team captain and earned All-Patriot League First Team in 2016, then topped her career off by earning a spot in the North-South Senior All-Star Game.
It is an honor to recognize all of Maddy’s accomplishments as a member of the Saint Edward’s School Athletic Hall of Fame class of 2023!
