MS Track & Field Ends Season at Pineapple Cove Championship
The middle school track and field team competed in the Pineapple Cove MS Track Championship in Palm Bay on 4/11/25. Both the boys and girls team finished in 5th place overall and set 13 personal records.
In track events for the boys team, Noah Niemi finished in 6th place in the 100m with a personal record time of 12.68 and placed 6th in the 200m with 27.26. Chris Perrin grabbed a 6th place finish in the 1600m with a time of 5:38.58. Hartley Postlethwaite finished in 8th place in the 800m with a personal best time of 2:55.80. Ethan Gatzke placed 8th in the 400m with 1:18.78. The boys 4x400 relay team (Ch. Perrin, Cam Perrin, N. Niemi, and Gatzke) secured a 3rd place finish with 4:36.98, and the 4x100 relay team (Gatzke, Christian Peter, H. Postlethwaite, and Emerson McGregor) placed 5th with 1:05.23. In field events, N. Niemi finished 7th in Shot Put with his 6.37m mark, and H. Postlethwaite finished in 8th place with his personal best throw of 5.58m. In the Long Jump, Gatzke placed 8th with his 3.58m personal best jump.
In track events for the girls team, Jaiya Hebig secured a 4th place finish in the 800m with a personal best time of 3:04.05; and Sophia Hauf finished in 6th place with 2:20.76, a personal record. Niah Boulding placed 6th in the 1600m with her time of 7:01.44. Milani Perez finished 8th in the 200m with a personal best time of 31.20. Both of the girls relay teams finished 4th place overall, with the 4x100 team (Aiva Juste, Sienna Kirkland, Perez, Audrey Elliott) clocking in at 1:07.49 and the 4x400 team (Maria Victoria Wilkinson Perilla, Rosa Salcedo Atwater, Julianna Niemi, Ava Roselli) finishing in 5:31.72. In field events, Perez captured a 2nd place finish in the Long Jump with her 3.81m mark, and Salcedo Atwater placed 6th with a personal best jump of 3.27m. In Shot Put, Lily Postlethwaite finished in 6th place at 5.74m, and Hauf placed 8th with her 5.00m throw.
