Varsity Girls Lacrosse Crowned District Champs
The varsity girls lacrosse team took on The Benjamin School at home on 4/16/25 to compete for the Class 1A District 13 Final title. The Pirates fought hard on the field and walked away the District champions with their 11-4 win over the Buccaneers. The team now advances to the Class 1A Region 4 Quarterfinals next week.
Margaret Fykes dominated the scoreboard for the Pirates with 4 goals. Bebe Busch-Dunford collected 2 goals. Teammates Aerin Russell, Caitlin Moscrip, CJ Fykes, Lily O'Brien, and Grace Fykes each netted 1 goal apiece in the Pirate victory. Kelly Lynch provided 2 assists, and Blair Moore added 1 assist. On defense, Leah Chin ensured 2 caused turnovers, and Avery Orzechowski forced 1 caused turnover. Maddie Moscrip remained a steady constant at the net, recording 7 saves.
