Varsity Girls Basketball Outhustles MCC
On 12/3/24, the varsity girls basketball team hosted Melbourne Central Catholic High School in the Gonzalez-Lobo Activities Center. Playing exceptionally well offensively and defensively, the Pirates held the Hustlers scoreless in the first quarter 15-0 and extended their lead going into halftime 29-5. Continuing their reign of the court in the second half, the Pirates put away the Hustlers 60-21.
Avonti Jennings led the Pirate scorers with 17 points, and Amajyn Cannon followed closely with 13. Halle Grella put up 10 points for the team, and Gaby Collazo sank 8. Teammates Sommer Soderman, Anastasia Headley, and Nahlia Hebig put up 4 points apiece toward the victory.
