JV Boys Basketball Comes Back to Topple Titans in Thriller

The junior varsity boys basketball team traveled to Palm Bay on 1/7/25 to face off against the Odyssey Charter School Titans. Despite trailing most of the game, the Pirates tightened up their defense in the 4th quarter alongside an offensive outburst led by Mac Antle. The Pirates tied up the game at 53-53 with only 1 minute remaining, and Antle hit a crucial 3-point shot to give the team their first lead of the game. Reid Morris finished off the Pirates' 59-55 victory with a free throw, helping the Pirates improve their record to 5-3.

Antle led the scoreboard for the Pirate team with 19 points. Bobby Varricchio netted 11 points, and teammates Trey Dunlap and Trip Williams sank 9 points apiece. Syrus Cooper put up 6 points for the Pirates, and Reid Morris added 5.
 
Next game is at home on 1/10/25 versus John Carroll Catholic High School, starting at 5:30 PM in the Gonzalez-Lobo Activities Center.
