JV Boys Basketball Hosts Eagles
The junior varsity boys basketball team hosted Morningside Academy on 1/14/25 in the Wachter Activities Center. Despite a slow start by the Pirates which saw them down by 18 points in the 4th quarter, the team tightened their defense and started closing the gap to a single possession with under a minute to go. With the Eagles hitting a final free throw, the Pirates fell to their opponents 48-52.
Bobby Varricchio led the Pirate scorers with 12 points, followed closely by Syrus Cooper with 11. Trey Dunlap sank 8 points, and Trip Williams netted 7. David Vazquez collected 6 points, and teammates Mac Antle and Reid Morris each had 2 points.
