Narrow Loss for Varsity Boys Basketball Against Buccaneers
The varsity boys basketball team traveled to North Palm Beach on 1/15/25 to take on The Benjamin School. The Pirates ultimately lost to the Buccaneers in the heartbreaker 45-48.
Jayzere Cannon led the Pirates on the scoreboard with 19 points, including three 3-pointers, in addition to recording 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal. Following closely was Cody Simmonds with 18 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, and 1 block. Carson Yates contributed 4 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 steal. Gary Anderson led the Pirates in rebounds with 13 and blocks with 7 and also claimed 2 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Wyatt Burdick contributed 1 rebound and 2 blocks, and Cole Register recorded 1 rebound and 1 assist. Teammates Daniel Clemente and Kaleb Jones tallied 2 rebounds each for the team.
