Varsity Boys Basketball Goes Head-to-Head with Golden Rams
The varsity boys basketball team saw a rematch at home on 1/10/25 against John Carroll Catholic High School. The Pirates took a narrow lead 15-14 at the end of the 1st quarter but fell behind 22-27 going into halftime. The Pirates remained determined on the court in the 2nd half but were unable to catch back up to the Golden Rams, falling 42-61.
Cody Simmonds led the charge for the Pirates with 23 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, and 1 block. Jayzere Cannon put up 8 points for Pirates alongside 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Daniel Clemente sank 5 points and recorded 3 rebounds and 1 steal. Scoring 2 points apiece were Wyatt Burdick, who also contributed 6 rebounds and 2 blocks; Kaleb Jones; and Cole Register, who added 1 rebound. Gary Anderson grabbed 2 rebounds and 2 steals for the Pirate team, and Rushil Sura recorded 1 rebound and 1 steal. Seorim McLendon also saw 1 rebound.
