Varsity Baseball Shuts Out Firehawks in Season Opener
On 2/10/25, the varsity baseball team opened their regular season with a home game on Blue Diamond Field against the Brevard HEAT. The Pirates took an early 1st inning lead 9-0 and never looked back, finishing the game 15-0 in the 4th inning.
At the mound, Caden Freedman pitched for 3 innings, with 6 batters struck out and 1 pickoff. Graham Hutton provided relief pitching for 1 inning, helping keep the Firehawks scoreless. In fielding stats for the Pirates, catcher Cyprian McIntosh recorded 6 putouts. Brayden Schraw collected 3 putouts, and Freedman, Trey Dunlap, and Cooper Harp accrued 2 putouts apiece.
