Varsity Baseball Tames Jaguars in Last Game of Season

The varsity baseball team hosted their last game of the season against Port St. Lucie High School on 4/9/25 at Blue Diamond Field. The Pirates were up 8-1 by the bottom of the 3rd inning, with the Jaguars roaring back in the 4th and 5th innings to bring the score to 8-6. The Pirates held off their opponents in the 6th and 7th innings to secure the 9-6 victory. The Pirate team ends their season with a 9-2 record.

Graham Hutton pitched 6 innings for the Pirates with 5 strikeouts, and Trey Dunlap provided relief at the mound for 1 inning with 1 strikeout. In fielding stats for the team, catcher Cyprian McIntosh led in putouts with 6. Gra. Hutton provided 3 putouts and 1 assist, and Brayden Schraw and Reid Morris also collected 3 putouts each. Will Morris and Griffin Hutton recorded 2 putouts apiece, and Trey Dunlap and Cooper Harp each added 1 putout for the Pirates. 

At bat for the Pirate team, R. Morris recorded 2 runs, 1 hit, 1 base on balls, 2 RBIs, and 1 stolen base. Nolan Ange accumulated 1 run, 1 hit, and 2 RBIs; and Schraw provided 1 run, 1 base on balls, and 2 RBIs. Harp collected 1 run, 1 base on balls, and 2 hits; and Gra. Hutton amassed 1 run, 1 base on balls, 1 hit, and 1 stolen base. Dunlap brought 1 run and 1 hit, and McIntosh had 1 base on balls and 1 RBI. W. Morris and Gri. Hutton each added 1 run and 1 base on balls for the Pirates.
