Varsity Girls Weightlifting Has Strong Showing at Districts
On 1/25/25, the varsity girls weightlifting team traveled to SEDULOUS Strength and Conditioning in Riviera Beach to compete in the Class 1A District 15 Tournament. The Pirate lifters all set personal records at the meet, with both Genevieve Medalie and Jaida Jackson qualifying to represent the team at Regionals in both Olympic and Traditional categories.
Individual results for Districts:
Sophomore Medalie placed 7th in her weight class in Olympic with 60/95*/155 and 6th in Traditional with 95*/75/170*.
In her division, sophomore Issie Evans recorded 55/75/130 in the Olympic category to place 7th and lifted 75/75*/150* in the Traditional category to finish in 6th.
Sophomore Jackson lifted 85/120*/205 in her division to place 4th in Olympic and 120*/130/250* for Traditional to also take home 4th place.
