Victory for JV Boys Basketball Over Patriots in Thriller
On 1/27/25, the junior varsity boys basketball team visited Master's Academy of Vero Beach for a rematch of their earlier season game. With the score tied 30-30 entering the 4th quarter, the Pirates turned up their pressure defense. Syrus Cooper led the defensive charge for the Pirates with several steals, and he scored 9 of his game-high 19 points in the 4th quarter. Bobby Varricchio hit a key 3-pointer, and teammates Reid Morris and Trey Dunlap saw late-game layups that helped seal the victory for the Pirates, 48-43.
Dunlap finished with 12 points, and Varriccio collected 5 points in the win. Mac Antle and Morris each contributed 4 points. Trip Williams and Braxton Adams rounded out the scoreboard with 2 points apiece.
