Varsity Baseball Subdues Panthers

The varsity baseball team faced off against Fort Pierce Westwood Academy on 3/6/25 at home on Blue Diamond Field. Despite seeing the Panthers take a 1st inning 2-0 lead, the Pirates came back by the bottom of the 4th inning to tie 2-2. The 5th inning saw the Pirates push ahead on the field, as they collected 5 more runs. At the end of the 6th inning, the Pirates never looked back, bringing home 2 more runs and continuing to hold the Panthers scoreless since the 1st inning. The Pirates emerged the victors at the top of the 7th inning, seizing the win 9-3.

Caden Freedman pitched 5 innings at the mound, with 5 batters struck out. Reid Morris pitched for 2 innings with 3 strikeouts. In fielding stats for the Pirates, catcher Cyprian McIntosh led the Pirates in putouts with 8. Graham Hutton and Freedman saw 5 putouts apiece, and Brayden Schraw tallied 3 putouts. Morris accrued 2 putouts for the Pirates. Teammates Trey Dunlap, Nolan Ange, and Cooper Harp each collected 1 putout.
