MS Track & Field Shines in Season Opener
On 3/27/25, the middle school track and field team opened their season on the road at Pineapple Cove Classical Academy's Middle School Meet in Palm Bay. The girls team captured 1st place overall with 119.5 points, and the boys team finished 5th with 59 points.
Results for the girls team: In the first 800m, Niah Boulding secured a 2nd place finish with 2:59.40, and Rosa Salcedo Atwater followed in 3rd place with 3:03.98. Laura Lenzner finished 8th in the first 800m with 3:19.5. Jaiya Hebig placed 2nd in the second 800m with 3:25.35. n the 400m, Sloane Weber finished in 3rd place with 1:15.02, and Ava Roselli finished in 4th with 1:16.74. In the first 1600m, Lenzner placed 3rd with 6:51.45, and Niah Boulding finished 5th at 6:59.71. In the second 1600m, Hebig captured 1st place at 7:28.79. In the 100m, Audrey Elliott finished in 3rd place with 15.11, and teammates Milani Perez and Sienna Kirkland tied for 5th place at 15.43. In the 200m, Juliana Niemi placed 4th at 31.15, Weber placed 6th at 31.78, Elliott placed 7th at 32.07, and Perez tied at 8th with 32.47. Securing a 1st place finish in each relay, the 4x100 relay team (Elliott, Perez, Weber, and Kirkland) clocked in at 1:01.51, and the 4x400 relay team (Elliott, J. Niemi, Roselli, Weber) finished in 5:04.51. In field events, Elliott won the Long Jump with her 1st place with her 3.78m jump. Also placing in the Long Jump were Perez in 4th place with 3.60m and Kirkland in 5th place with 3.42m. Sophia Hauf finished 7th in Shot Put with 5.08m, and Lily Postlethwaite placed 8th with 4.67m.
Results for the boys team: Jamin Dunham captured a 1st place finish in the 1600m with his 5:24.56, and Chris Perrin followed in 2nd place with 5:35.27. Noah Niemi secured 2nd place in the 400m and finished in 3rd place in the 200m with 25.93. In 800m, Ch. Perrin grabbed 2nd place in the 800m at 2.42.22, and Dunham followed closely in 3rd place with 2:42.32. In the 4x400 relay, the team of Dunham, N. Niemi, Cam Perrin, and Ch. Perrin finished 4th at 4:33.56. In field events, N. Niemi placed 4th in Shot Put with his 7.16m mark, and Hartley Postlethwaite finished 7th with 5.10m. In the Long Jump, Emerson McGregor placed 8th with his 3.35m throw.

In the 100m, Audrey Elliott finished in 3rd place with 15.11, and teammates Milani Perez and Sienna Kirkland tied for 5th place at 15.43. In the 200m, Juliana Niemi placed 4th at 31.15, Weber placed 6th at 31.78, Elliott placed 7th at 32.07, and Perez tied at 8th with 32.47. Securing a 1st place finish in each relay, the 4x100 relay team (Elliott, Perez, Weber, and Kirkland) clocked in at 1:01.51, and the 4x400 relay team (Elliott, J. Niemi, Roselli, Weber) finished in 5:04.51. In field events, Elliott won the Long Jump with her 1st place with her 3.78m jump. Also placing in the Long Jump were Perez in 4th place with 3.60m and Kirkland in 5th place with 3.42m. Sophia Hauf finished 7th in Shot Put with 5.08m, and Lily Postlethwaite placed 8th with 4.67m.
